2024 Externship in Emotionally Focused Therapy

April 8th – 11th, 2024
9:00am – 4:30pm Pacific Time (all 4 days)

Location: Arbutus Ballroom lobby level – Holiday Inn, 711 West Broadway, Vancouver, BC

Facilitated by: Yolanda von Hockauf & Veronica Kallos-Lilly

Prerequisite: Graduate degree in a counselling related field or nearing completion

This four-day training provides an in-depth overview of the EFT model. Didactic presentations, case examples and demonstration videos, small group exercises and discussions will provide participants with an engaging learning experience. A further highlight is a live on-site therapy session by one of the trainers (dependent on a referral of a suitable couple by participants).

Participants will learn the theoretical underpinnings of Emotionally Focused Therapy, as well as how to:

• See emotional disorders and relationship distress from an attachment perspective
• Help clients reprocess the emotional responses that maintain dysfunction and relationship distress
• Shape new key interactions and events that build secure connection with others
• Address relationship injuries and consolidate the new, secure bond

Fees

Regular: $1,295
Early Bird: $1,095 (ends at 5pm on December 1st, 2023)
Student: $895 (proof that you are a full-time student at time of training is required)
